Type: Desktop System: Gigabyte product: Z390 AORUS PRO v: N/A I read that this might help you guys understand my setup: It probably would fix after a cold reboot, but that's no solution to the underlying problem (the source of which I ignore completely and can't diagnose for lack of expertise). All bugs gone.īut as soon as I touched something in the audio panel of Mint, qmmp started to loop badly and there's been no way to revert to normal. Then today, while writing this text and before posting, qmmp started to work properly. Spent a day searching for solutions, but nothing turned up. Sounds like a special effect from those '60 sci-fi movies The output of any file I play resolves to a very short buffer looping over itself and resonating with increasing volume. I crave something more like Winamp, which is "qmmp". Since I can enjoy audio, I'd like a music player.
#Quod libet equalizer install#
In a nutshell: I'm running stock Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3, with added PulseEffects and lsp-plugins.īoth packages have been installed through the Application Manager that ships with Mint: pick a package -> give authorization -> install -> it works -> happy user. To address this I use a system wide equalizer and have found "PulseEffects" to work nicely (after I manually installed "lsp-plugins", lest the Equalizer module -the very one I was after- wouldn't work at all). At factory settings it's literally all over the range. My speakers set have horrible Bass output. I got a problem with the audio department. I'm new to Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3, and new to everything Linux anyway.
